The Saga of Wiz Khalifa Tracklist:
Always versatile if you want kush & oj go listen to it or some of his simmilar drops, he’s been dropping more solo/taylor gang songs but this time he tapped in for some heavy weights for a fun cool drop. For me khalifa still has his unique sound from since he stepped into the mainstream.
Love Wiz. Own all his albums, listened to him since grow season mixtape way back when he was still young P chain wearing Wiz. Every album he’s ever released I’ve been excited for, I set aside a whole hour to listen to it whenever a new one drops. This really upset me that on 4/20, Wiz put something not worthy of a second listen to me. I’m sure he’ll look back on it and view it as rushed, over produced, stiff, and confined to the 808 trap style box that it is. There Is making real tunes which this album is not, and then there is plastering features from over hyped water artists to sell out. Save yourself the trouble, let this one hang out on the shelf. Sorry Wiz, get back to your cardo sledgren kush&og onifc life again.
In 2010 when Kush and Orange Juice hit the scene, WK was on a different level and something original. Now he has made the same song for 10 years in a row And it’s not just him. Every hip-hop artist does the same thing with little difference.
Half of these songs are actually a step up from his last few projects. The songs in here that are not good me to me are bammer and contact. I find bammer to be boring due to his slow flow that I wished he would change. Contact was okay on wiz Khalifa’s part, but Tyga is literally just filler to me on this song. It feels like in hip hop now he has no purpose other than to figure how to top “taste”. The good tracks in my opinion are “Y you mad” and “out in space”. Out in space delivers really space out instrumental with a nice flow from wiz and quavo. (Best song on the album). Y you mad is good because I liked ty dolla sign and Megan’s contributions to the track. So 3/5 since the other tracks were really meh to okay. This feels like a return to wiz Khalifa. I was fan of his works all from flight school to blacc Hollywood. Past that everything has been hit or miss for me personally. Problem in the past 2 years is that it feels that wiz isn’t making the same song, but he is using boring slow flow on many of the recent projects released since rolling papers 2.
This song is so under rated! Has a lesson to tell us as a youth! Basically telling us to keep working hard on our goals and keep progressing. I wish this song came out when I still had my ex on IG so I could have posted it on my story, so her and her new foo would be listening to it while I flex my new truck, my new clothes, my new own apartment, and my new WOMAN. While they are just layed up in his beat up home. Just so she can see that I’m doing way better now that she gone. I got a way better looking woman in my life that knows what she wants, that’s growing economically together because we are a team! Great song! Man
It’s nothing special nor good, it reminds me of some of the stuff Mac Miller used to make back then when he released Blue Slide Park, that record wasn’t good so.... I’m just gonna leave it here 2/10
